My boyfriend recently took me to MILA for our anniversary and it was amazing. The service was great, they had a bottle of champagne waiting at our table. Everyone was extremely nice and not pretentious at all.
We were brought an amuse bouche of lobster over a black garlic pasta on a pickled cucumber. The sweet potato rolls were amazing and also came with unleavened corn bread.
We chose the five course tasting menu with wine selection, definitely the way to go. We started with a . Second was scallops over braised artichoke. Third was the most amazing veal cheek in a barbecue sauce over homemade mac and cheese type pasta with collard greens. The veal was the best I have ever had in my life. It was followed by a pear sorbet over muscadine gelee, which was very refreshing. Dessert was a peanut butter chocolate torte that was to die for.
We grabbed drinks at the bar afterward and the bartender asked us the liquor we hate the most and made us a drink with it that we would like. He was right!
I would definitely go back and would highly recommend MILA to anyone looking for a great meal!
