Hello, hounds. I'm meeting with my father, and an old friend of his from the 80s, for dinner on the 18th. We're looking for a place either in the West Village or TriBeca area.
Price is not a direct concern. However, it is not required to be overly "fancy" or high-end. I'd like to get reservations at a place that has very fresh, excellently prepared, delicious food--with a good atmosphere for conversation, without people *right* on top of us. Also a slow-paced relaxed environment is essential, we don't want to rush. Friendly service, is always a plus, of course. Extensive wine list is not a requirement, but not a demerit either (a wide selection of draft beers would be A-OK in my book.)
I would be ever so grateful for any advice you may have for me.... Will be checking this page regularly, awaiting your expert advice!
