Dining Alone Union Square

Gayle | Oct 14, 2005 12:37 AM

I'll be in town for business over the weekend of November 4 - 7. I'm staying at the Hotel Triton and will be working at the SF Civic Center.

I'd love any suggestions for dining alone. Dining alone on a weekend is a little different than during the week -- places I can eat at the bar are good. I love ethnic food -- all Asian foods, love anything SPICY, pretty much open to anything. Nothing too high end, I'd like to stick to $30 and under for dinner with a glass of wine.

I'd prefer not to travel too far. Probably not more than a 7-10 minute cab ride. I'll be working from 10 to 9 on Saturday and 11 to 7 on Sunday, so places open late are good. Hoping to get to the Ferry Building on Sunday for the Farmers Market.

Ideas for yummy, quick breakfast and cocktails are much appreciated too.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions!
