Diner Brew Co. out of Mount Vernon has opened a tasting room on Division Street in New Rochelle. They produce a variety of ciders and beers, some with an historic bent. Dropped in last night to a warm greeting by founder Chris Sheldon and his crew. The space is a charmer, made to resemble a retro diner, counter with stools, various artifacts placed around the room. A popcorn machine is there for the taking. We tried a flight of the beers last and our favorite thus far is the Bete Sauvage Brut IPA. There were 6 brews on tap, along with their ciders, and resourced 'guest drafts' from such local brewers as Wolf & Warrior, White Plains, and Decadent, Mamaroneck. Word is there will some food service down the line. There is a selection of vintage wines, too.
