Where can we dine with our canine?

HoundLovers | Aug 21, 2005 10:39 AM

Our beloved chowhound is indeed a hound (a 105 lb. german shepherd dog, as a matter of fact). We hate leaving him home when we go out to eat, and we relish any opportunity to dine with him. Unfortunately, I hear that the MA health code no longer allows pets (with exception made for service animals) into restaurants, even with outdoor seating. We have found a few establishments that still welcome our friendly chowpooch, but it appears that this list is dwindling. For example, the outdoor dining area at Henrietta's table seems to occasionally refuse canines depending on who is seating. This weekend, we found that the outdoor seating at Thornton Grill in Fenway is excluding pets now. Oh no! Any advise from chowhound dog lovers? Can you recommend any good restaurants that will still allow canines?

We can start the list with:
El Pelon and Rodee2 at Fenway.
Wonder Spice at Jamaica Plain.
