Not looking for the typpical Sam Woo stuff...searching for something more delicious. My parents brought home some dimsum(a lot of different kinds) from LA, but I forget what this particularly tastey one is called. Can you help me find the name of this tastey morsel...here is my best description: It is cyclindrical(about 1.5 diameter, sometimes the thing is chopped into smaller pieces like "sushi" cuts), black(maybe seaweed) outside but coated in some light thin crunchy batter but could slightly see through it to see the black underneath, it is deepfried, crunchy, i "think" the insides are some sort of seafood/shrimp and is oily when handled, lol. What is the name of this?!?! I love it!
Also, where is the best place in OC to get dimsum? I am in mission viejo, but willing to drive to north OC.
