I recently ate there for the first time and was very impressed by the quality of their dim sum. I had bean curd skin roll w/ pork and vegetables and shrimp in rice flour which are two staples at the cart places. I have to say they were the best i have encountered in NY's chinatown.
I also had a few dishes i had not had elsewhere. I had the fried shrimp with mango roll which basicaly was life a breaded spring roll with shrimp and mango inside. It was decent but nothing to rave about. The other two dishes i had were exemplarary. The steamed duck dumplings were out of this world. Delicious rosat duck and wood ear mushrooms wrapped in an ethereal wrapper. I also had per reccomenations on this board the pea shoot dumplings. I wondered what the fuss was about until i bit into one. A delicate wrapper contained the tastiest greens i may have ever had with a hint of garlic.
I also enjoyed the three condiments placed on the table. I was wodnering if anybody knows what they are. I think the green stuff was wasabi or some other horseradish mixed with green chile. The clear sauce tasted like a version of the vietnamese dipping sauce for apps and the red stuff was good but i wasnt uite sure what it was.
I plan to go go back soon and i was wondering if people had other recs for me. Are the full dishes good there? and if so what to get?
