I read the older messages and found out most people here prefer dim sum at Yank Sing, HKFL, Harbor Village etc to Koi Palace is there a reason why? I am wondering if those places appeal to non-chinese more and I seldom see non asian in Koi Palace during weekend dim sum lunch. I must admit that Koi has bad service and the wait is long - over an hour during weekend. I must say that Koi is the closest to what dim sum served in Hong Kong.
I am from HK and most of my friends only go to Koi Palace for dim sum even we have plenty of choices in the south bay. Yank Sing is good at presentation but most chinese people will get the impression that Yank Sing is meant to serve (cheat) non-asian people, same as Shanghai 1930 across the street.
