Dillard GA-fried pies

My wife, -a native born southerner schooled from a young age in the ways of Brunswick stew and other fondly remembered comfort foods, reports on a day old fried pie from Ricky James Produce, just south of Dillard GA:

"...was absolutely fantastic. Not greasy like the Varsity's. Tart, too; not overly sweet. Worth a note on Chowhound. DEFINITELY worth another one when we're there next. I'm in sugar heaven right now."
