DFW - Best Place to buy Seitan and Tempeh in Denton County - DFW

LewisvilleHounder | Jan 21, 200911:30 AM     4

Okay, so I am new to buying healthy food items such as seitan and tempeh but definitely not new to the area. I have posted quite extensively so I would like something as close to LEWISVILLE in DENTON COUNTY as possible.

I know we have a health food store on Main Street here in Lewisville but not sure if they carry these items. I also am aware that we have Market Street in Coppell, CM in Dallas, Plano and Southlake, and Whole Foods in other parts of Dallas, but I am looking to support a local store. I am also willing to make the drive if you know anybody who makes seitan and tempeh fresh (as in they make it at the store). I am looking on the low end of the price scale that is why I am trying to avoid the chain stores.

It would also be helpful if someone could chime in on what to look for in good seitan or tempeh (i.e. textural variances, different vegetable products used besides the norm, etc)
