I had a Bday dinner at Babbo with my girlfriend where they pour the dessert wine at tableside. The waiter somehow got bumped and poured half a bottle of dessert wine down my back. The manager came over and gave me his card and professed his sorrow for my misfortune. He offered to pay for my dry-cleaning bill. Then they sent over an extra complimentary glass of dessert wine in addition to the one we ordered. So now we each had 2 glasses. In order to get reimbursed for the dry-cleaning I would have to make a special trip incurring cost and time. Something the manager must know. I feel as though my meal should have been comped for such a major infraction. At least cut the $200 bill in half. Do you think Babbo did the right thing?
