A friend let me try a really good dessert that someone gave him. He was told that it's called kanaffa (not sure about the spelling though). I think it's a Persian dessert. The closest dessert that I can compare it to is baklava except that it wasn't phyllo dough. It appeared to contain thin sheets of shredded wheat w/ some kind of dessert filling, possibly sweet goat cheese or cream cheese, all soaked in honey and sprinkled w/ chopped pistachio nuts.
Does anyone know what I am talking about? If so, can you tell me what it's made of and where I can find this delicious dessert. I know my description of it does not sound that great but it is actually very delicious. Also, I am not a fan of goat cheese but if in fact, this dessert has goat cheese then I am surprise at how tasty it was.
