Oh no, Not Denny's Diner

Zoe | May 3, 200205:02 PM     18

Stuck in Norwalk again, early this morning we couldn't wait for ll a.m. when Renu Nakorn opened, so we segued to Denny's (now Denny's Diner) for a snack before the trek home. When an error, what a mistake. Eggs basted like bullets and pancakes not cooked through, hash browns watery and not crisp and English muffin needed another six weeks in the South of France to get a tan. OK we sent the eggs back, drank the coffee (that is good stuff, morning good stuff, Millstones) and then asked the manager for a card to give comments. Manager: we don't have cards like that (must be nice to be perfect).

Another restaurant on the never again in my natural life list.

Hint to the wise and note to self; do a search for coffee shops in Norwalk/Downey area which are non chain.
