So now that I've discovered Berondi thanks to the cookware addicts here, I want to buy a Demeyere lid for a new Atlantis pan. But since Berondi requires an 80 euro minimum order for shipping to US, I now "need" to buy something else in addition to the lid. And since I have long been thinking about a good stockpot, I came to discover the Atlantis and Industry, both in 8 liter size. They both share the same price on Berondi's site. (245euro)
I would use the pot for tomato sauce, chicken soup, thick vegetable soup/stews. I have a ss 5 qt that I use for boilingn pasta but could use the Deymeyere instead, for more portions.
Knowing all of this, I call on the experts here to guide me: Which of the 2 would be best for me? I've read a thread or three here on the differences in the cladding going up the sides or not but am still waffling about this very pricey pot. Do not want to make a mistake on this cause I'm sure it will be the last stockpot I ever buy.
