Demeyere Atlantis Cost & Quality

Libranflight | Feb 28, 2016 08:09 AM

Hello everyone!

Does anyone know what a "good" discount is for Demeyere Atlantis?

I see that Cutlery & More has it 20% off list and then has a coupon code for an additional 20% off, which mathematically is less than 40% off MSRP, but is that technically a good price or as good as it gets new from a store?

It is very expensive obviously but I've been watching videos and I am extremely impressed.

I am also tickled pink about the quality as the Resto asparagus pot and tall sauce pot that I have purchased, very high-quality and according to the paperwork, these items are made with economical and lesser quality materials.

My asparagus came out perfect and I used the tall sauce pot for Knorr hollandaise sauce and the handle did not get hot. I did have it on the simmer burner though, as I did not want flames going up the sides.

I find it interesting that I have had cookware claiming to be good that is not even as nice as their economy line.

I am thinking that Atlantis is the line I am most interested in, I do not seem to like the look of the chef designed line.

Any input is appreciated. I can buckle down and pay a lot if I know it works beautifully and will last the rest of my life. Quality is very important to me with cookware; other things like clothes and shoes, I pinch pennies until they bleed. :-). My cookware is my jewelry.
