a delicious weekend

I recently spent a yummy weekend in Montreal, thanks largely to recommendations from this board. I had one dinner at Chez L'Epicier, where the food was inventive and very good. Highlights were a rabbit appetizer and a terrific list of wines by the glass. My other dinner was at Da Emma - sublime roasted baby pig and pasta with wild mushrooms. In between, I was impressed with the Jean Talon produce market, Fromagerie Hamel (at the market) . . . and the SAQ wine stores. The Quebec government can come run my local wine shop anytime!
