Dehillerin Copper Overstamp

SognSpatula | Jan 6, 201911:58 AM     13

Over the past few years, there have been a couple discussions of Matfer Bourgeat copper pans that have an "overstamp," i.e. the brand stamp on the bottom shows through on the stainless interior. It seems that the issue was unique to MB pans.

While drying a Dehillerin pot the other day in bright sunlight, I was surprised to see that the Dehillerin stamp showed through the interior stainless. From the construction, I assume this pan was made by Mauviel, but its only marks are E. Dehillerin Paris and Made in France.

Like the Bourgeat overstamps, this one has zero impact on the cooking ability of the pan, but it does show that the overstamps go beyond MB.
