Deep Fried Chicken Help Requested

I am planning on doing Tyler Florence's recipe for cold fried chicken for July 4th. I plan on using a turkey fryer to fry the chicken pieces the day before. My dad gave me the fryer and it only has basic instuctions for doing a whole turkey. I know that you can do other things in it, but I want to make sure that I don't ruin 32 pieces of chicken and have to make a KFC run on July 4th (thereby losing the distinction of being the only person I know who actually COOKS fried chicken :)!).

One thing I need to know is how LONG to cook the pieces. And Tyler says to cook at 350 degrees, but that's for pan frying - should I deep fry at the same temperature? Also, should I do the each kind of piece separately (i.e. - cook just the breasts, then the thighs, etc.)? Please help, 'hounds!! Thank you in advance!!! Kim
