Decent Flatware set for around $100?...

PutSomethingTogether | Apr 16, 201502:43 PM

Looking for a 20 piece SS 18/10 18/8 set. I want a modern casual pattern that feels good in the hand. I also prefer a rounded dinner knife as opposed to a pointy one. The toughest part of what Id like is something not made in China. Don't really like what I see so far in my price range. I had a WMF Maneos set which was terrible...returned that. It's looking like I might just have to save up and get the set I really want, which is the Georg Jenson or maybe a Yamazaki. Who knows though, I don't think I can get by that long with the mix match thrift store stuff that I'm using now.

I wouldn't have a problem going used as well. I don't really care for the way flatware has gone in last 10-20 yrs. All Made in China or thereabouts and quality is sub-par. Even if you replace a piece from a pattern that is still in production, chances are it is not as good as original. I also think that the prices that many branded flatware companies are trying to fetch, doesn't really match with the quality that it is these days.
