I spent 3 weeks in Paris when I was 17. I lived on little else but coffee, bread, cheese, crepes and beer. It was wonderful. I'm not so sure why it has taken me so long to come back, I'm 46 now and my tastes have changed just a little (I've swapped the beer for wine). I'll be in Paris for 5 days with my wife and 3 children (19,19,13). We are staying in La Marais about a block from the Rambuteau metro.
We are a serious foodie family and all are fairly adventurous eaters but I'm worried about New Year's Eve dinner. There are some very interesting NYE menus out there but I'm worried a meal like that might be wasted on our little guy. It would be his 1st one, and even though he says he is ready, I'd like to ask the experts on this one first. The restaurants we are currently considering most right now are Verjus, Au Passage, and La Tour d'Argent, each for slightly different reasons.
I've searched the board and looked through previous year's NYE threads, but so much changes in a year. Does anyone have any advice or possible recommendations?
