jen kalb | Nov 18, 202107:13 PM     24

For December we nominated a total of 15 cookbooks, from which the top nominees were The Christmas Chronicles with 7 votes and Milk Street Tuesday Nights and From the Oven to the Table with 5 votes each. It’s now time to for us to vote for the book we’d like to cook from communally in December.

Nigel Slater’s book, The Christmas Chronicles is a winter and holiday book with 100 recipes, not all traditional, interwoven with musings on the season. https://www.nytimes.com/2018/12/10/di....

Both Diana Henry’s From the Oven to the Table and Chris Kimball’s Milk Street Tuesday Nights are focused on simple, delicious home cooking, suitable for week nights

From the Oven to the Table presents Henry's signature creative single pan oven combinations: https://www.publishersweekly.com/978-.... https://cookingbythebook.com/book-rev...

Milk Street Tuesday Nights presents a collection of family favorites and easy to make dishes creatively dressed up with pantry items, with an overall emphasis on speed to the table: https://www.publishersweekly.com/978-....

A NOTE ON VOTING: COTM is a community cooking endeavor, and we therefore ask that people vote only with the sincere intention of cooking from their choice should it win and posting about the results here on Chowhound. COTM is not a vehicle for promotion, and accordingly we don’t allow votes by people with personal or professional connections to authors or titles who don’t intend to join our cooking community. We’re always happy to welcome new faces, and if you’re new to Chowhound or just to COTM, we’re glad you’re joining in.

HOW TO VOTE: Just click the heart next to your choice in its respective post below. You may only vote once; if you change your mind during the voting period, just click the heart again to remove your vote. Voting will close Wednesday November 24th (Thanksgiving Eve) at 6:00 pm eastern time.
