Debone fish before grinding?

The carp and whitefish fillets I got for this year's gefilte fish don't have the pin bones removed.

I'll be grinding in a hand-cranked meat grinder, so I'm curious-- do I need to bone the fish? Will the grinder's cutting plates catch the pin bones for me?
