Death of a Salesvendor's Bacon-Wrapped Hot Dog [moved from L.A. board]

digkv | Mar 11, 2008 09:08 PM

So this may be old news I guess. Though I haven't found anything related to it on chow yet. The amazing, delicious, wonderful bacon-wrapped hot dog that you can buy on the street is now illegal.

It makes me sad to live in a world where such a thing is founded to be illegal; where something so beautiful cannot be shared with the world. Like fois gras in Chicago, the law has taken something that is such a tantalizing pleasure from us. I am still in mourning as this news is new to me; I don't live in LA so I have not seen the full effects, but now, no longer can I enjoy this on my occasional trip up to the City of Angels.

If anyone does have any first-hand experience what it really is like now, or if the law really is enforced. Please do share.
