DC Chowhound seeks advice

TerriS | Aug 27, 200206:22 PM     4

Hello SF chowhounds!
I'll be in the Bay Area in a month and am looking for the following:
* low-key, relaxed places for breakfast, lunch and dinner convenient for a group of tourists (20somethings, married) trying not to be lame. We're staying at the Wharf Inn, I think. In particular we do not want to break our budgets or have to dress up too much. Something unique to SF, that won't require reservations or super long waits - just good food and good atmosphere. We also would love to find places that serve healthy, lower-fat entrees for those of us with health issues.

* a good place in Chinatown for lunch, perhaps - something really authentic - hubby has traveled to Asia frequently and would love to see what SF has to offer

* good place for lunch on possible day trip to Santa Cruz

Any help appreciated and we're always happy to return the favor over at the DC/MD/Northern VA board!

~Terri
