Had dinner there last night and of course it being my first time had to have the $29 burger. I had half and must say that it was heavy, so I was glad only to have half. I had read so much about the postings that I expected it to melt in my mouth. But it didn't. The short ribs and foie gras seemed to not mesh well with the burger part. I will say there was no grease and the meat was very good. We ordered it medium rare and I think I would have been happier w/o the short ribs and foie gras. Each bite tasted like I was tasting 2 different dishes slapped together. Maybe it's because I'm not much of a meat eater? Don't know. I eat all sorts of meat, but I prefer a very small portion w/ large portions of vegetables or carbs. The fries were interesting, not really fries, more like potato chips since it was like the indian bread which is puffy and is empty inside. Those were a little on the greasy side.
We also ordered the pre-fixe which included chicken terrine with truffles for an app. It was good, although a small portion. The entree were pieces of lemon sole with strips of vegs which I liked quite a bit. The fish was very tender and light which seemed to be a good contrast to the burger. Dessert was a chocolate soufle with choc sorbet and vanilla ice cream and a bitter chocolate raspberry dome which was the better of the two.
Their menu categorized everything according to one ingredient which I thought was confusing. For instance one category was figs, another corn, another beef. It would only be good if someone was allergic to something and therefore could then eliminate that entire category.
Service was too quick. The busboy constantly came for our plates even though we weren't quite finished yet. Cetainly overly attentive. Otherwise service was fine.
All in all glad I tried it but don't think I will be back. It's on the pricey side and the burger didn't wow me, although I liked the fish, maybe as a pre-theater option.
