B-Day Dinner at Overtures

I want to say thank you to everyone who suggested that I go to Overtures for my birthday. It was great! The service, decor and food were excellent. I was in the mood for a light dinner, so I went with the $20.01 3 course chef's menu (which is available on Tues., Wed. and Thurs. eves). I had braised leek in 2 sauces for my appetizer, scallops and artichokes in a lemon cream sauce for my main course, and a pear tart for my dessert. My husband ordered from the regular menu and had the red pepper "soupe du soir" (which was outstanding) for his appetizer and grilled duck for his main course. We finished our meal with very good coffee. Even though classic French cuisine is not my favorite type of food, I thought that it was excellent (especially for a special occasion). Overtures is certainly a hidden gem that I will be telling many people about.
