Daito on the drag

This brand new Soba / Udon joint on the drag just northwest of campus according to my Japanese colleague who tried it today is the most authentic, un-bastardized (no fusion, no fuss) japanese food he has found anywhere near Austin. He was extraordinarily happy. we are predicting lines out the door. good for them if so. go while you can. Unfortunately, I can't do a ton of noodles so I'll have to wait for them to add some other items. liquor license pending. The folks running it just recently relocated here from Japan and they apparently know well their low n slow dashi broth.
