Has anyone noticed that a lot of butter and dairy products (e.g., sour cream) have a "buttery" taste that is similar to movie theater "topping"? I've noticed this happening over the past 10 years or so. I generally don't run into "buttery" tasting dairy products outside of the US, but run into the taste often here in America.
Has anyone else noticed this? Am I crazy, or is this real? I've resorted to buying imported butter because a lot of the popular US brands seem to have this taste, and I can't stand it.
