Went to a Native American festival this weekend in New Jersey, and had the MOST delicious cold sassafras tea. When I tasted it, it was as if I had never before truly quenched my thirst. The people at the stand showed me how they made it, but I don't have access to a sassafras tree. Also, I know that ingesting too much of it has been said to be toxic. Although the vendors told me it is was healthy for the body.
Anyone have any thoughts on it, or had commercial sassafras tea, or know anything else interesting to cure my curiosity?
