New Ctown Restaurants - anyone tried?

Lau | May 16, 2008 02:23 PM

So I was walking through ctown today over to Wing Shoon and I noticed a few new ctown restaurants that looked like they were worth checking out:
1) Delight 28: its on Pell, close to where the old Danny Ng's was, its another one of those big cantonese banquet / dim sum halls, but it was jam packed (w/ all chinese) at lunch and thats usually a good sign
2) King's Seafood Restaurant: I didn't go inside and this place is super easy to miss b/c the sign is very small, I believe its on the 2nd floor right above the defunct Nice Restaurant space on the southside of East Broadway. I only noticed it b/c there were a ton of people going in and out of it, which is always a good sign
3) Noodle place on the southside of east broadway before the bridge, its got a yellow onning and I don't think there was an english name. It was jam packed and everyone had some type of noodle and soup dish, they had a bowl of some type of soup and then noodles on a plate that looked like they were in a sauce or stir fried or something as they had a slightly brown color to them...everyone had the same thing, everyone was chinese and it was packed, these are all strong signs of a place that makes one dish real well and those are my favorite places, so im super curious about this place

Also, if anyone cares King Wah Bakery on East Broadway was totally gutted, which is unfortunate as I thought it was a solid cantonese bakery
