Crush

I'm surprised no one has posted a review on the newly opened Crush Wine Bar/Restaurant/Bistro. Two friends and I dined there last week. Although my main course magret of duck was v. good (but not spectacular or anything to rave on about), my dinner companions LOVED their mains-- the mixed grill and the cornish game hen. I can't remember which apps they ordered (as I was only able to meet them later on in the evening) but it was ALL good. We all loved their wine list (well thought out, lots by the glass). They were priced very inexpensively but then you only get about 4 ozs per serving. Nice Riedel stemware. I skipped dessert but ordered the cheese plate instead. Can't remember what cheeses-- into the company and conversation too much I guess. My friends shared the chocolate cake and said it was really lovely.

It was a Thursday night during a Leafs hockey game and the place was hopping.

I'd go back in an instant.
