those crunchy Chinese restaurant noodles

When I was a kid (in NYC) the type of Chinese restaurants my family went to always gave you one from Column A, one from Column B, headaches from excessive MSG, and bowls of crunchy noodles that we dipped in sweet, slimy duck sauce.

I have since graduated to more exciting and less embarassing culinary inclinations, but last night during a delicious dinner at Su Hong (xiao long bao, chicken and chestnut hot pot, fish filet in wine sauce) my partner admitted that she still craved the childhood pleasure of those noodles dipped in duck sauce. Personally, I think it's kind of gross, but I don't even like chips and salsa.

Anyway, is there someplace that serves those crunchy noodles, preferably the thick, slightly greasy kind and not the thin ones that come out of a can, and (shudder) duck sauce, that also has decent food? I would like to take my sweetie someplace where she can indulge her nostalgic desire, but where I can still have a meal that doesn't consist of overcooked celery in MSG sauce. Peninsula preferred, if possible.
