What Crops: Veg, Grain, Fruit and Nuts, are Lowest Stress for U.S.Farmers?

Before you start w/ the snark, plse. let me explain! Many times over the last few yrs, i have thought to ask this question. I think it came from sympathizing with farmers and how hard their job is.

So that led to my thinking that there must be types of farming that are "easier" than others. Now, I do understand that, like the gardening adage, " A weed is a good plant in the wrong place", there are certainly better and worse LOCATIONS to have certain kinds of farms. And there are other issues to consider- the economy, for instance, or the fluctuations in demand for that foodstuff. And I bet certain crops have a higher payoff/profit but are more risky/ require more of a gamble.

So, for my question, i'm saying "Given a decent location, for soil , water, weather and disease, which crops are more stress-free", if one could choose ?

I'm guessing we may not have any/many farmers on CH, but maybe CHs have farmer friends they could ask? Thx much.
