Creekside Inn and The Farmhouse

This kind of weather makes me want to drink ice cold draft beer and sample bar food. Last sunday when it finally started to cool down in the early evening my friend John and I went to the Creekside Inn in Chalfont for some refreshments. The deck was locked and the bartender was working alone but when I asked she couldn't have been sweeter about letting us eat outside. The cook and bartender made sure we had a wonderful experience even though I know we must have been kind of pain to wait on because of the heat and having to go in and out a lot with our food and drink. I concentrated on the pitcher of Yuengling and just stole a few fries from John and a bite of his Caesar salad but I really enjoyed the deck and the staff was just so accomodating to us. We sat out there alone as the hot late afternoon gave way to a sultry night, looking at the creek and watching the trains go by. We even heard a bullfrog.
Last night we tried The Farmhouse in Doylestown and it was very relaxing. I had a dozen steamed clams for 6.99 and they were yummy. They also had some interesting beers on draft. Our waitress made us feel very much at home, and there was a great variety of tunes on the electronic juke box that everyone kept feeding. They had me at "In Dreams" by Roy Orbison. My friend John seemed to enjoy his burger and large appetizer platter as well. I live in the Lansdale area but am willing to travel a little. Any recs for other bars in the area?
