craving scallops , don't know the territory, where to go?

Hi Philly hounds:

I'm in town for a few days, and having a great time eating, walking, getting to know the city a bit better...ok, doing a bit of work, but work travel is an excuse to eat, right?

Will post on my experiences later, I promise, but in the meantime: I have an unsatisfied scallops craving that just won't go away! Can't get rid of that image of some beautiful seared scallops, haven't seen them on menus I've been offered....

can you help? I do see them on the on-line menu at Sole Food, but was hoping to avoid it (I swore off the Loews after my last Philly trip, though that was really more about the hotel than the restaurant, which had a different name back/chef back then anyway)...

Any other suggestions? Center City preferred, but for a craving cabbing it is always possible....If not, it may be scallops and a glass of wine at the Sole Food Bar for me tomorrow afternoon....

Speaking of bars, I also have reservations at Morimoto Sat night, but am debating giving them up so I can find a good bar to watch the Series (finally, two teams I like but am not emotionally involved with: when the Giants play post-season I can barely stand to watch). Would that be a big mistake? am I likely to miss my big chance at scallops if I do give up Morimoto? Or should I try and change my reservation?

BTW, in that regard, everything seems very uncrowded and reservations have been quite easy to come by, by SF standards, everywhere I have wanted/needed them, other than Django (didn't get my act together on that one, guess I will have to miss it) and Vetri (which I had decided to pass on anyway given the number of good italian places in SF, the limits on my meal reimbursement rates, and the upper end places already on my list: I had a lovely dinner at LaCroix tonight...).

Anyway, thanks for any specific help you can give, and a special thanks for the help I've gotten just from reading your board!)
