just returned from visiting colleges with my daughter -we stopped at cracker barrel binghamton for breakfast. yes, i know it's a chain but it was excellent. i had a special with peach pancakes that also came with eggs, potatoes and ham, bacon and sausage. definitely a big meat for about $7.50. my daughter had french toastfor about $2.50. after seeing binghamton, we headed up to geneseo - stayed at the country inn suites (nice room and breakfast the next morning - reasonable room price of $68-). we had dinner right next door at the genesee river hotel. definitely top notch. i had pork chop dinner - came with potato and vegetables and house salad. my daughter had a chicken dish with pasta, sausage and it was spicy and delicious. my dish was about $12.95 and my daughters was about $13.95. after seeing geneseo, we headed home to long island. we stopped for dinner at a cracker barrell before we got to the gw bridge. i believe it was exit 30 off of 80 south. i had the friday fish fry and my daughter had a chicken sandwich on sourdough bread. both very good.
we had a good trip and some excellent food along the way!!!!
