G and M crabcakes...delicious

A few years ago, my dad was doing work in Baltimore and asked his contact for a good crabcake place. The guy asked if he wanted ambiance or crabcakes and he answered crabcakes. The guy directed him to G & M Restaurant in Linthicum Heights, MD. Over the years, he's stopped there on the way back from visiting me in DC, either eating in or using the carry-out component. On the way up to NY this weekend, my brother and I stopped in to get some crabcake sandwiches to bring home and all I can say is wow!!

Most crabcakes I've had in the area have been shredded, with lots of breading. These cakes are enormous (8 oz says the website) and all jumbo lump crab, with a little egg and mustard for binding. The flavor was delicious and they did hold up well given the 4-hour drive we had. I can't vouch for anything else in the place but the crabcakes are outstanding. Now that I know where this place is, I don't need a drive to NY as an excuse to go. It's right off of 695 East near where it intersects with 95 N.
