The special noodle soup is a fairly spicy hot bowl of broth with coconut milk, tamarind, lemongrass, and other spices. A little heap of ground chilli sauce sit in the centre of the bowl; blend it into the soup. Mung bean noodles (woon sen) are employed, and there's lots of squid (slightly chewy, but with a very satisfying snap in the centre), sliced fish cakes, some shrimp and plenty of bean sprouts. A worthwhile and serious dish that's not dumbed down.

Read about this Salvadorean place on the board recently. Nice pupusas, I prefer the fat ones stuffed with cheese (de quesa Loroca, iirc). Nice sauce to go with it, decent pickled carrot and cabbage. Will go back to try their tacos and rotiserie chicken.
