Cosmopolitan Cafe

Had a good dinner at the Cosmopolitan Cafe tonight. I started with mussels/ roasted tomato sauce and rouille-accompanied by some triangles of grilled bread. Very tasty and a portion large enough for a main course. For my main course I had the dayboat scallops that were perfectly seared on an oxtail risotto...very savory.
For dessert we shared the chocolate trio-a chocolate eclair, chocolate pot de creme with a brulee top and a chocolate layer cake with mocha. The quince galette with caramel ice cream was freshly baked and delicious. A tarte tatin with vanilla bean ice cream and a caramel sauce was only OK...the apples needed more caramelizing.
A pleasant evening, all in all.
