Corned Beef Hash in Milwaukee

Fydeaux | Mar 15, 2005 10:57 AM

Had breakfast at the Lisbon Cafe on Sunday and was astounded by the corned beef hash! This was not the mush that comes out of a can, but real slices of a corned beef brisket chopped up with potatoes, onions, & green bell peppers. The eggs and toast that came with it were almost unnecessary as the serving of hash was huge!

Does anyone know of anyplace else in Milwaukee that makes it like this?

Lisbon Cafe (for non-Milwaukeans) is on Lisbon Avenue, and has nothing to do with Portugal or Portugese food. It is a genuine 1950's diner (NOT 1950's nostalgia) run by a Greek gentleman named Gus.
