Copper Cleaning

mobiledynamics | Jun 14, 201804:25 PM     44

R u a copper pot polisher ? I feel like such a amateur
When I 1st started cooking, for the 1st couple years, every 3-4 months, sunday cleaning day also entailed polishing and cleaning every piece down to the rivets. no a speck of carbon anywhere.

Those days are loooooong gone, only simply supplemented by the dishwasher, which btw, does a ahhh-mazing job, albeit detrimental to exposed alum.

Question for the copper chowhounds. Do you give it a whiff of polishing after each cleaning or can one let it ~get~ away from you and just do a heavy polishing annually per se. The reality is, stuff just oxidizes sitting around no ?
