New cooktop from the Not About Food board

I moved this to this board because I was ask to. Before I post on the other board I check to see two other post on stoves on that board.

We have just removed a tweny year old cooktop. When new this Thermodor cooktop with one 10,000 BTU was great. But age and too much use has worn it out.

So our son the Chef(at least the school says he studying) reserach what was avaible that would fit into our kitchen.

He pick a Dacor PGM365 with one 18,500 BTU, 2-12,500 BTU, 2-8,000 BTU burns. Gas delivers heat to the point of cooking fast and leaves the area quickly. I for one do not like moving the pot/pan off the cooking area.

I learn to cook on gas and never had too much luck cooking on electric. In fact we purchase this house because of the old cooktop. When we were shopping for a housees Mrs. Yimster want this house because of the stove. My choice has a bigger lot and garage but a electic stove. Now the world knows Mrs. Yimster wore the pants in this family.

We are really going to enjoy this new toy. As soon as I get a handle on how to post pictures I will do that too. At least my other son is still work on the instructios from the instrustion booklet.
