I'm trying to buy more local food. I just discovered the Rockville Farmer's Market. What a joy! I look forward to each Saturday morning and can't wait to see what they have.
Cooking has been a bit more of a challenge. Instead of Costco pre-packaged chicken breasts, I'm buying whole organic chicken. I've got a whole bag of leaf greens, but am getting tired of EVOO and balsamic or red wine vinegar dressings. I buying cuts of meat that are new. Can you recommend any websites or blogs for cooking and recipe suggestions for local foods?
In regards to the chicken, I realize it's much cheaper to buy a whole chicken. I can separate it into parts and make stock out of the carcass. I just need some help coordinating recipes for all of these. I've always preferred breast meat, but know I need to find good recipes for the thighs and wings. I'm hoping you might be able to point me in the right direction.
