Thank you for all your suggestions (post below) for cooking for a large group of Non-chowhounds.
#1: How do YOU augment canned baked beans, turning them from ordinary to awesome?
#2: Has anyone made a concoction of layered ice cream sandwiches and ice cream, etc.? (Might be an easy, make ahead dessert pleasing to children and adults alike.)
#3: How close to serving can coleslaw be made and still taste flavorful? (Will have very little refrigerator room.)
#4: Bratwurst--what is the best way to prepare, and is there a good brand at Costco or Sam's Club?
