I am having a cup of tea and I'm on my 4th cookie. This is my idea of bliss: a bit of crunch in a food you can hold in your hand. If one isn't enough, 4 is bound to be. There are cookies that are light and cookies that are rich. Even cookies that are hearty with whole grains. Cookies that are soft and chewy; cookies that are fragile and brittle. There are cookies dropped from a spoon, sliced from a log or piped with frosting to look like little still lives. Fruit cookies, nut cookies, and -- god help me! -- chocolate cookies.
Why isn't real "nutrition" as satisfying as the humble cookie!?! And does anyone here know how to make a nice lean, high protein cookie, high fiber cookie that tastes like a homemade peanut butter cookie dipped in dark chocolate? Thank so much in advance. ;>
