I need some advice! I was making chocolate chip cookies -- the recipe from Alton Brown's I'm Just Here for More Food, chocolate chip cookies #10 -- and I somehow made a dough that was extremely dry. Really weird. I am pretty sure that I inaccurately measured the flour -- I was weighing it on a scale, something got messed up in there*. It looked like it was way too much flour, and it was indeed way too much flour!
I made a batch of the cookies, and while not bad, they were ... weird, dry, floury, not sticking together well. The rest of the dough is in the refrigerator; is there some way to salvage it? Another egg beaten with melted butter and sugar? Any ideas? Can this dry dough live?
