What should I cook for a dinner date?

makeupyourworld | Apr 6, 201911:59 AM     4

I am a 20 year old college student (female), date is the same age. I am a fairly experienced cook. I bake bread often, can make my own sauces, operate a smoker, fryer, grill, stovetop- I also really love charcuterie and cheeses. I can make decent desserts as well, but I am a bigger fan of cooking itself (since I love ice cream but am lazy to make it). Anyways, the guy I've been seeing will be coming over for a dinner date and I'd like to make him a meal he'll love, and that's impressive and delicious! There's few things I won't cook (with the exception of shellfish, as I am highly allergic). I also don't particularly enjoy curries so I'd prefer to avoid that. Please give me some ideas for an impressive date night menu for college students. No real budget here, but let's avoid adding gold leaf or fresh truffles to everything, lol! Thanks so much.
