what gives at convivium?

Okay, so I went there last night with my girlfriend, a monday night at 9pm, pretty psyched to try this place that everyone is raving about- beautiful restaurant, very romantic (though no fireplace, as someone stated in an earlier post- did I miss it?) and we're seated in the front at the window, given menus silently, and then prompty forgotten about. The place was empty- maybe three other tables? Seriously, we were not approached, welcomed, given water, bread, even looked at for 15 minutes. I saw waiters- they came up to the bar, did stuff all around us- but didn't even glance our way. So we left, went to Nana's down the street, which we go to all the time and we love. Food and service always good.

I really hate bad service, especially for what have been a real splurge. But since everyone loves this restaurant and I've never seen a bad post, I'm going to try again. Maybe it was the timing?
