Community Foods Market - West Oakland

Community Foods Market opened at 3105 San Pablo Ave. I don’t know the exact open day, but article says May. I noticed it a few days back, so I stopped by and have to say it’s a nice compact full service market, brand new, fair prices. They did a really nice job. I picked up some local corn 2/$1 and a black watermelon and some deli chicken wings.

Here’s their URL and a SF Chron article about it. Of note, Bill Fujimoto of Monterey Market consulted on the produce. Good stuff about the Brahm Ahmadi, the CEO. Of course it fills a great need in West Oakland.
