Coming to NY, have 3 days, gimme food!

Hello...

A friend and I are coming to New York in mid-June for 3.5 days, and will be staying in an apartment in Nolita/SOHO. The one place I've already made a reservation at is Les Halles, as Tony Bourdain is one of my favorite chefs and I've been dying to eat at his place.

Other than that, we're wide open. I'm looking for the best in street/fast food, the best in brunch/breakfast/lunch food and the best in medium-priced dinner food. We'll probably stick around that general area, but are willing to venture out for something spectacular. Also, since we will be in an apartment with a kitchen, any fantastic food shop suggestions (Italian delis, cheese shops especially, seafood places) are welcome.

Besides pizza, what's another MUST NY street food? Is there anything we absolutely shouldn't skip in regards to lunch, dinner, etc? And, we're two 30 year old gals who would love to hit some bars, nothing club-y, just a cool, laid-back bar (no pubs) with an artsy but not totally pretentious vibe.

Tall order, I know - but I'm starting my research early and I'll take any suggestions you might have.

Feel free to email me or post here.

Thanks,
CK
